@EricKossak You should also be aware that the KJV has many flaws as well. In the KJV, 2 Kings 2:23-25 says God killed "LITTLE CHILDREN!!!" A more correct translation would be Youth as the NIV puts it. You see, even the KJV has flaws. No translation is perfect, but calling the KJV flawless is pure ignorance.

Wow., things are getting out of hand The KJV does hold an authority over the new bibles but that isnt saying the new bibles are bad.., yes there are some discrepancies but when read in conjunction with each they are complementary.., if there is ever a clash of doctrine I yield to the KJV's msg

Ah inner christian hatred very amusing. They dominate Us in followers so they have nothing to hate on except each other and muslims and lable everything that don't find in their stupid holy book satanic or the devils work and they also infiltrate government

I support, the King James Version. But would use an electronic, or a software dictionary, in case I couldn't understand the words. I think it is something else that they were, burning books that wasn't Bible but Christian inspired. Acts 19:19-20 could be quoted as well. But since times have changed, do they give references to the greek and hebrew words with the numberings? Do they know how to pray strategically against satanic forces? Those two are basic, and advanced if you ask me.

Dear North Carolina Baptists, There was another famous group of people who burned books. They burned them on the grounds of morality as well, and believed that in burning these books, they were purging supposedly deviant, counterproductive and divisive elements from their society. These people were called Nazis, and that, North Carolina Churchgoers, is what you are in danger of becoming.

Ok let me tell you something.. I've lived in North Carolina my whole life... I consider myself a redneck and a christian and always will and am proud to have a 4.0 gpa. Not all rednecks and hillbillys are stupid, just like all yankees are not stupid and rude... stop stereotyping people you don't even know based just on the actions of one person. It is not fair to the rest of us.
By: countrygurl9110. on 22 Jan 10, 05:20:25
I don't agree. I live in North Carolina and have all of my life and have ran into a few "religious nut-sacks" as you say... but I've encountered those in other states too...states that are not in the "bible belt". and I don't believe that him being a hick has ANYTHING to do with him being stupid. Not all rednecks, hicks, and hillbillys are stupid so thanks for stereotyping your own state.

ladies and gentlemen, this is an example of why im not a christian.

The incredible thing about this church is that no where in The Holy Bible does it say King James is the only true Bible. In fact for many reasons the KJ has been revised because its wording was awkward. However this does not mean that the King James is wrong and we should never burn books that actually do bring people into a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Truly this church is making a horrible mistake. Because God's Word is God's Word, lets not forget who we serve!
By: Jenfucius. on 31 Dec 09, 02:25:13
The question is whose books are they going to burn next?
