@joeblow166 what common sense/logic do you have? Is it logical to complain about a loss for five years? Probably not. Don't you know that if you remain bitter, you will never be able to move on. Just a little bit of common sense for you. I know UI killed your dreams but it's better to forgive and forget than to turn 40 and still be holding a grudge about a game that happened 5 years ago.

wtf? for the record Raymond Felton and Marvin Williams are starters on playoff teams in the nba, and Rashad McCants is still in the league, the funny thing about that 2005 UNC team J,R Smith was suppose to be on that but went to the nba instead

all i can say is this game was a long time ago so who cares i just love remembering it. and not one of those UNC players are still playing basketball. but illinois has a top 5 point guard in the nba off their team

@AndrewMaas21 What you say is true, but it is also true for just about ANY fan in ANY sport. And while there are a lot of rednecks in Illinois, most Illinois basketball fans aren't, so don't generalize us, even if you live in Illinois. As for the game, Were there some questionable calls down the stretch? Yes, but Illinois crawled back from 15 points down. Arizona became stagnant with their lead. I can understand the anger over a few bad calls, but Arizona fell apart and we had Williams. Period.

Great teams overcome bad officiating. 1. I didnt see any bad officiating and 2. AU was a good but not great team. If the Illini had more postseason exp they would have knocked UNC. As it was the officiating in that game wasnt great. The tickle fouls called on Illinois center and all the moving screens that Illinois were getting away with. It was a great game to watch

One of the worst games in NCAA history, in the sense of being fixed. No way Illinois wins this unless the refs purposefully become oblivious to their numerous, egregious fouls. That's what being the media darling team for a year buys you, I guess.

@roughrida24 agreed, there was just something in the air that weekend, michigan state needing 2 or 3 ot's to down kentucky, louisville's massive comeback against wvu, and this game that was so dear to me, i remember watching it thinking my bracket was screwed then illinois got going, this was one of the greatest teams to NEVER win a national championship
